Departing the city this morning on your Blue Mountains day tour, your personalised guide will start the day by showing you the historical Rocks precinct. Continuing west now our first stop is at Featherdale Wildlife Park, home to Australia’s favourite marsupials. Arriving early we beat the crowds and allow you to get up close and personal with Kangaroos, Koalas, Wallabies and Wombats. You will love these amazing animals.

Reboarding the vehicle we continue west towards the Blue Mountains National Park. We enter a little known hidden clearing to enjoy some home style morning tea. You will have time to roam the area and seek out the wild kangaroos and birdlife that frequents this part of the National Park.

Our next stop is Kings Tableland. This breathtaking view looks out over the Jamison Valley. You will see firsthand the ruggedness and beauty that the Blue Mountains are famous for. Lunch today is at a local café in the heart of the Blue Mountains.

After lunch we skirt around cliff drive towards the township of Katoomba. At Eagle Hawk lookout you will see the famous 3 sisters Rock formation and marvel at the stunning views of the Jamieson Valley. From here we continue around Narrowneck Plateau for more incredible vantage points.

Heading south now our next stop is Wentworth Falls. Here you will be guided down a well worn path towards the falls and stunning views. Experience the local flora and fauna up close as your guide informs you of the incredible geology of the Blue Mountains and how they were formed.

Protected by the Cape Tribulation headland, Cape Tribulation Beach is always calm with crystal clear water. It is located on the northern side of the cape and a short walk leads to a lookout from where visitors can enjoy spectacular views. Departing your accommodation, we travel through the rich farming areas towards the World Heritage listed forest region of the Daintree National Park. Boarding your cruise along the mirrored smooth waters of the Daintree River; as you cruise close to riverbanks and under the overhead canopy of the rainforest, you will spend time seeking out the vivid Ulysses Butterfly, Kingfishers, Pythons and other wildlife before experiencing the silent backwaters where crocodiles can normally be seen basking on the muddy banks.

Arriving on the northern side of the river, we now enter the Daintree section of the Wet Tropics World Heritage protected rainforest, here we spend time enjoying a home-made morning tea underneath the rainforest canopy. Tower Hill is a wetland reserve of approximately 610 hectares with half of the area being crater banks or islands in the shallow waters. Many people visit it to enjoy a picnic or walk, to see its wildlife or to study its geology.

Port Fairy is an attractive fishing and holiday town located in lee of Griffiths Island. A fishing fleet operates out of the Moyne River, that enters the sea through the two entrance walls constructed in the 1870s. The town has all holiday facilities, with a large caravan park located behind the beach. Houses back the southern end of the beach, while dunes and the golf course back the centre and northern end.The beach is 5.8 km long, extending in a broad, curving arc from Reef Point in the east, where it faces south, to the North Mole or harbour entrance wall in the south, where it faces east. Erosion along the southern end has resulted in the construction of a rough seawall and several wooden groynes. The Port Fairy Surf Life Saving Club, founded in 1950, is located on the foredune 1 km north of the north entrance wall. Its members average 10 rescues each year.The beach is composed of fine, white sand. It receives waves that average less than 0.5 m in the south, about 1 m at the surf lifesaving club (where it is also called East Beach) and up to 1.7 m by Reef Point. In response to the changing waves, the beach is fronted by a single, continuous, attached bar in the southern corner, with rips rarely present. However, by the surf club the surf is over 150 m wide with two bars. The inner bar is cut by rips every 250 m, while the outer bar has more widely spaced rips. Further up the beach, the waves and rips intensify. During and following high seas, a 300 to 400 m wide surf zone and a third outer bar can form.
